WHO IS JERRY WALKER?

My name is Yaron, commonly known as Jerry Walker.

​

Honestly, I wouldn't classify myself as a tour guide, but rather more as a storyteller. When I show my guests around, I believe it is of utmost importance that they feel like locals in every possible way.  

​

The best way to explore a new country or city is to relive its history and discover its hidden gems by those who know best - the locals. That's exactly what I try to do with my tours. If you're ready for a story about Israel's past, present and future, straddle up and prepare yourself for a trip of a lifetime.

 

A little bit about me. I was born in Jerusalem a year after the Six-Day War of 1967, and have lived in this fascinating city for most of my life, up until today. 

 

I've spent the majority of my adult life in field positions in Israel's Security Service, and by virtue of this career, had direct and ongoing contact with the different populations of this country; Israeli Arabs, East Jerusalem Arabs and West Bank Arabs.

My professional background has provided me with deep insights and knowledge regarding this sensitive area and the special encounters between beliefs, cultures and religions.

 

I’m very passionate about traveling the world and exploring new cultures and cities. When I’m not guiding tours in my home country, I enjoy being a tourist myself! I’m always searching for opportunities to travel in Israel and abroad, and have always preferred to spend my free time (and my money) on gaining experiences and making memories.
